Lifting of the lower third of the face

Lifting of the lower third of the face

What is Lifting of the lower third of the face?
The mandible, sub-mandible, and neck are the areas of the human body where the first signs of aging appear. Because the muscle and connective tissue framework in these areas is very weak, and the skin itself is very dry and thin.

A lower third facelift, in other words, a lower zone facelift, is performed to reverse such age changes and is performed as part of a deep facelift.

•    Flattening of the neck-submandibular corner;
•    The appearance of unaesthetic-looking lines on the neck;
•    Loss of accuracy of facial contours;
•    Skin folds forming ridges along the edges of the lower jaw;
•    Drooping of the corners of the lips.

How is the Jowl Lift Surgery performed?
Before lifting the lower part of the face, the patient should undergo a general examination to detect contraindications and determine the individual characteristics of the body. For preparation, all drugs affecting blood coagulation should be stopped at least 1 week before the intervention.

The operation itself lasts 2.5 - 3.5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. All sutures are placed in hidden areas, so they are not visible after the operation. The intervention is carried out in stationary conditions. If the results are positive and the patient's condition is stable, the patient is sent home the next day.

•    Active physical work, going to the sauna, solarium, and swimming pool should be excluded for at least 4 weeks after the operation.
