The middle third of the face covers the area from the eyes to the lips, including the nasolabial folds. It contains two of the three main areas of concentration of facial volume and mass: the nose and the zygomatic-malar projection, leaving the mandibular line in the lower third.Age changes are particularly noticeable in this area. Because that's where all the mimic activity falls. In other words, all our emotions, both negative and positive, are reflected in this region.
Small changes can be corrected with the help of cosmetic procedures. But there is a point when cosmetological measures are no longer enough, and a complete circular face lift is not yet an indication. It is at this time that an endoscopic mid-face lift operation is performed.
4 indications for endoscopic midface lift
Candidates for a midface lift (endoscopic facelift) include all patients with a drooping or hollow-appearing midface, and the early signs of jowls and loose or sagging skin in the lower face. Rehabilitation
Following a midface lift, you can expect a few days of soreness which is well controlled with oral pain medications. Sutures are typically hidden in the hairline and are removed after a week. The patient stays in the hospital for 1 day, it is necessary to wear a special compression bandage (mask) for 1 week, which allows to protect the operated area and prevent swelling.During this period, the patient should stay at home, avoid physical exertion, not take a sun bath, go to the sauna, etc. should not go. You should strictly follow the doctor's recommendations and protect yourself.
On the 10th day, the stitches are removed. But the tissues have yet to return to normal. The final result of stretching can be evaluated 3 months after the operation.
