Mentoplasty and chin correction

What is Mentoplasty?
What is mentoplasty? Chin surgery, also known as mentoplasty, genioplasty or chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that aims to modify the size of the chin to achieve a more proportionate and aesthetically pleasing face.

Chin surgery, or chin correction, can reduce an overhanging chin, enlarge an undercut chin, and reshape the jaw to make the face more symmetrical. To create optimal facial proportion, mentoplasty is often performed in conjunction with nose surgery.

Types of Mentoplasty
Chin surgery can be divided into 3 types.
1.    Corrective;
2.    Chin reduction;
3.    Chin augmentation.
For the first type, fillers with hyaluronic acid or adipose tissue are used. Weakened muscle stretching, liposuction, mesotherapy are performed. Complex procedures are selected individually. Mentoplasty price may directly depend on its type and the individual characteristics of the patient's body.

Chin reduction
Chin reduction surgery is a procedure to decrease the length, width or overall size of your chin. It can help your chin appear more balanced with the rest of your facial features. At this time, pieces of bone are taken from the jaw, and later they (i.e. bones) are brought closer together.

The lower part of the face takes a more elegant shape. If necessary, the plastic surgeon also performs skin tightening. At one time, Angelina Jolie also had chin reduction surgery. Looking at his photos, the result of before and after mentoplasty is clearly visible.

Chin augmentation
Correction is done with implants to enlarge the jaw. They can be made of silicone, or nasal, ear cartilage tissue. That is why the procedure is sometimes called chin rhinoplasty.
