Buttock Implants
Buttock Implants and Gluteoplasty Surgery
Buttock implants are used in gluteoplasty, a procedure that reshapes the buttocks. The goal is to correct congenital and acquired changes while enhancing aesthetic appeal.
Silicon implants enlarge the buttocks and provide shape and contour. They resemble breast implants but have firmer silicone.
Gluteoplasty can combine with Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or lipofilling, which transfers fat harvested by liposuction to the buttocks. Implants provide rear fullness while lipofilling adds volume to the sides. No sitting restrictions follow lipofilling, and patients resume exercise after 3 weeks.

Preparation for Surgery
Avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, and herbal supplements to reduce bleeding risk during and after surgery. Smoking increases complications and slows recovery. Stop smoking at least 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after the procedure. Medical and laboratory examinations are required.
Before surgery, your surgeon discusses implant options. Implants come in various sizes and shapes. Patients choose oval (anatomical) or round (full) implants. Surgical Procedure
Buttock implant surgery typically requires general anesthesia. The surgeon makes an incision along the intergluteal crease, then creates a pocket within the muscle where the implant is placed.
After implant placement, all wound layers are closed with cosmetic sutures. Thin drain tubes may be placed to reduce fluid buildup, and compression garments prescribed to minimize swelling.
The procedure results in completely natural buttock shape.
